It's back in 2004 that the Natural Selection Fun Clan association (NS-FC) was created, according to the "loi 1901" (French legal statute), with the goal of promoting the Half-Life 1 free mod Natural Selection inside the french community.
It was founded by MGS-3 and DarkKiller (alias Malvaren), joined by Airmax who assumed the charge of treasurer, next to MGS-3 (secretary) and DarkKiller (President). Since hazards of life didn't let everyone able to fulfill their roles permanently, MGS-3 ended up with the full active charge for a while, before some members decided to become overzealous, asking rights and priviledges that MGS-3 couldn't give them without the treasurer's and president's consent, which worsened the situation with some members that were having a personal grudge against him.
On another side, an Alliance formed with the NS4all team which had almost the same purpose, but were only aiming at the "pro" gameplay with standard rules and setup, as opposed to the "fun" spirit which dominated in the NS-FC association. This allowed to satisfy a larger majority of players, NS-FC managing the "Fun" and NS4all managing the "classical" gameplay.
That Alliance was dismissed afterward when some members of NS4all were harmful to them by behaving badly on the NS-FC server, and then by hacking the Rcon (server administration) on multiple occasions, in spite of the efforts and good will of the NS4all leader, who was caught between the hammer and the anvil when trying to reason these members...
Following a LAN Party (4th NS-FC Lan), where most of the registered players for that day withdrawed at the last minute (bad weather), and where MGS-3 had assumed the whole technical service and equipment setup despite being ill, he was "charged" with the "failure" of the lan party, and some people then decided to use their relations to get him "fired" although he was the only one able to manage and improve the server (among other things, plug-ins recoding, bugtracking and troubleshooting, system improvement, stability...).
After his "retirement", MGS-3 decided to start In.Game with those members that always supported him (Hyultis and Soldat-Ryan) during that NS-FC case, and then to include all those that couldn't bear anymore the new NS-FC atmosphere.
By founding In.Game out of the associative status, MGS-3 1st thought about keeping a "band of buddies" cohesion, without getting into the strictness of monthly dues, still allowing people to help the group depending on their will and wealth, their knowledge and know-how.
In.Game is currently more than 20 "regular" people, and also their friends and occasional visitors, coding, or playing different games, to their liking and moods.
